PROGRAMS

The volunteering is done through 3(three) types of activities: [click here for our

i. international short-term working/exchange programmes at any time of the year.

ii. international medium term working/exchanging projects at any time of the year.

iii. international long term working/exchanging projects at any time of the year.

iv. organization of drumming lessons by wosovo


WHAT IS A WORK CAMP?

An International work camp is an experience of living in community done through voluntary work in the frame of projects proposed by the local organizations/communities the participants are normally invited from a wide range of countries, preferably an even number of men and women to assist children home, basic schools (i.e. teaching of English , Sciences, Mathematics, French etc...) and caring for people in leprosarium etc...[Click here for online application form]




VOLUNTEERS' HOSTING CONDITIONS.

During the working and exchange programme, the volunteers are normally hosted in family's houses. It is however expected that the volunteers will participate in the daily life of the host community with the aim of having a maximum exchange interaction and experience with the people concerned. Accommodation is free but volunteers will contribute towards the expense of the daily meals.



COST

i.  An amount of $350 is paid to WOSOVO as a participation fee (membership fee, orientation, administration i.e. arranging for the programme, postage, email etc)
ii. Apart from the participation fee, volunteers are responsible for their travel costs from their countries of origin to the working / exchange programme location. Volunteers will contribute $150 per month towards feeding.
iii.Accomodation fee for the first three (3) nights you may stay in Accra, Ghana varies from $6 to $25 per day depending on the type of place you prefer to stay. Concerning the amount of money you will spend on your own for tips within the country, entertainment, accomodation etc... you may find more on the following web site:

The week-ends are free to enjoy through trips and visits to tourist attractions etc.


SAFETY

Any valuable documents you bring (money, passport, ticket etc...) can be kept with WOSOVO's suggested agent.


ITEMS  NEEDED

Mosquito net, and cram sheet sleeping bag, work clothes, summer clothes, some warm clothes for evenings like jumper  and jeans, sun cream, hat, sandals / comfortable working shoes, rain coat and some gifts from your country (optional) are needed to ensure ones comfortability.
